Breakfast rides - staple for the Vespa riders

After my first Periodic Maintenance at 2 months from getting the unit, this is when I started to get a bit playful.  Leaning a bit lower, picking up speed and riding a bit further to reach the good breakfast spots.  I do this every week, racking up the mileage and gaining more experience and building confidence.

WYNDELL'S AL FRESCO

After passing by this place a couple of times, I finally got the chance to try it out.  Wyndell’s Al Fresco is a popular open resto in Tanay Rizal.  It’s a Café, Grill and Seafood place.  Parking is nice, in front of the resto with an attendant assisting in the parking so you can be confident that your bike is safe.  I didn’t get to sit at the overlooking spot as it was quite full at the time (there is still COVID btw).   So I picked a spot in the middle with no view.  Good enough.

Customer service was top notch.  From the parking to the table.  Food is awesome!  I ordered the TapSiLog which turns out to be a Sirloin to them.  Tastes very good with a generous serving.  Comes at a hefty price but I already mentioned they are popular, with a view, great service and taste.  So you get what you pay for.  Will I go back here?  Sure, if I’m feeling a bit rich, but probably not often.  I highly recommend it though.

KAPE NATIVIDAD

Kape Natividad is also an Al Fresco coffee and pugon-baked pizza place, a few meters after Wyndell’s.  This was recommended to me by the Mcdo Libis Store Manager as they frequent this place when they ride up the twisties.  This time, I was able to get a spot with an overlooking view.  It is a bit packed, too, but the place is not as big as Wyndell’s, and my spot is at the corner edge so I’m good.

Parking is not as good as Wyndell’s.  You park beside the road on an unpaved area.  An attendant assisted me on the parking so that’s a plus point.  Although later during my meal I was asked to transfer it as there’s a water delivery so this cancels my plus point.

Again, I ordered the TapSiLog and Americano coffee.  Its also the Sirloin on their end but not as pricey as Wyndell’s (half the price, I think).  Serving is not as generous, but not half as less.  Tastes great as well so I guess this has more value for its price.  Service is not as good as in Wyndell’s, so I can say that the cost here is justified.  Will I go back here?  Yes!  Maybe I will try out their Pizza, too.  All the tables there had pizzas so I guess they are really good.

But these two ended up as one-time, experiential only.  The next blog is for the go-to breakfast ride destination. ;)
